Steady City is a blog-based column and linkblog written and produced by Mike Soron. Steady City offers Mike’s commentary on topics like safe cities, the environmental crisis, and democracy.

Mike lives and works in Vancouver, Canada. He has a Masters in Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Calgary. Mike is the Executive Director of Sustainable SFU, a not-for-profit that develops the capacity of the SFU community to confront social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Mike speaks and consults about the economic and political transformations accompanying global warming and decarbonization, focusing on urban climate change defence and community economic development in the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

He’s appeared at SFU’s City Conversations and in early 2013 Notable.ca interviewed Mike about his work.
